I received my Masters Degree in Maths (First Class Honors) from the University of Auckland in 2014. With nearly 15 years of teaching experience, I have taught at many different schools across Auckland including Kristin School. I specialize in delivering highly effective online education and received the Ernest Duncan Award in 2018 for my contributions to the field. More than anything, I focus on building strong mathematical foundations for long-term growth — planning each student's learning with the end in mind. I strengthen the fundamentals first, then tailor their path toward whatever they choose next, whether that's NCEA, Cambridge, IB, or beyond. Maths tutoring in Hamilton — your questions

Yes — all lessons are online, so I work with students right across Hamilton, Cambridge, Te Awamutu and the wider Waikato, as well as the rest of New Zealand. You get a specialist maths teacher without anyone having to travel.

All three that Waikato students take: NCEA (Levels 1–3), Cambridge (IGCSE, AS & A Level), and the IB Diploma (AA and AI, SL & HL) — plus NZ Scholarship Calculus.

Yes. St Peter's in Cambridge is the region's IB school, and IB maths is demanding. I tutor the full Diploma course, both subjects and both levels — see the IB maths tutoring page for the detail.

Yes. A number of Waikato schools stream their strongest students into Cambridge maths (the 9709 pathway). I tutor IGCSE, AS and A Level, including Pure, Statistics and Mechanics — see the Cambridge maths tutoring page.

For almost all students, yes — and often better. We're on live video and both write on a shared interactive whiteboard in real time, so I can work a problem while your child solves alongside me, correcting their working as we go. Every board is saved as revision notes, there's no travel, and scheduling is easier.

Any point works, but earlier is easier. Starting sooner builds a strong base; starting later, we focus on shoring up gaps and sharpening exam technique. Even a few focused lessons before exams make a real difference.

One-on-one tuition is $89 per lesson (currently $83 per lesson with the Term 3 Special), and small-group classes are $42 per lesson ($39 per lesson with the special).
